13.1 Miles

This past weekend I went to California to run my 3rd half marathon.  It was a beautiful weekend full of sunshine, laughter, frozen yogurt, beach and of course a little Sunday morning run!

I have been fortuante enough to have an amazing running buddy, Gretchen.  I have run all my half marathon's with her and not only is she a great encourager, but so fun to run with.

Story behind our shirts...

Saturday night we went to Old Navy to buy cheap long sleeve shirts to wear while we were waiting for the race to start with the point of throwing them on the side of the road when we were hot (which is what a lot of people do).... however, during the process old navy was having a huge sale and we found these funny shirts that we decided to wear during the race and instead of throwing them on the side of the road we had to keep them... defeating our purpose:) 

Mine says, "My BOYFRIEND is a Super Hero"

Gretchen & Emily changed their shirts to say, "My HUSBAND is INCREDIBLE"
Stephanie & Brianna's shirts say, "Searching for my HERO"

Silly... yes, but it made us laugh... it's the little things...

I highly recommend the Orange County Half.... it was a great course... we ran by the ocean, beautiful beach home neighborhoods, and the newport beach back bay.
