We went to Flagstaff, AZ one weekend in January. We wanted to get out of town and was set on snowshoeing, except it wasn't the best weekend for snow. Flagstaff has not received fresh snow in a month, but we were set on our new adventure.
Just north of Flagstaff is the Nordic Center where you can rent shoes and they have there own trails. Although it was not fresh snow, it was enough for us to try out snowshoeing.
And we are off....
Doug enjoyed walking in the deeper snow.... it's more of a work out :)
Doug carrying all our poles and notice the patch of no snow. It was a pretty "warm" day, in the 50's.
We enjoyed snowshoeing and will definitely do it again.
Enjoying some cheese fondue with beer bread and veggies at a local brewery in Flagstaff.
It was a great weekend away!

Looks like a lot of fun (and that fondue looks delish)! Tell Doug I almost couldn't find him in the pics, since he was so well-camouflaged :) When we get back to Oregon, you two will have to come up for a snowshoeing adventure.
