Cooking with Mom.

My parents came last week for a visit.  Doug & I loved having them here and we really had a fun week.  Another blog post with pictures of place & things we did.  But this post is about all the delicious things my mom & I made during their week here.  Between pinterest & blogs, we had some yummy food...

Skillet Cookie.  You make the cookie in the skillet and then put it in the oven for 15 minutes and it comes out a perfect pazookie :)
add some ice cream....
amazing.

Sticky Bun Breakfast Ring.

we really enjoyed cooking in the skillet.... skillet mac & chesse

Spaghetti, fresh asparagus, Pioneer Woman olive bread, & salad.

Lemony Chex Muddy Buddies ( my dad loved this).

We were going to make the Pioneer Woman Calzone, but we ran out of time, so we just made the pizza crust and made a pizza.  My mom & I LOVEd her pizza crust recipe, very light & fluffy... it will be a new staple.

This was probably my favorite meal we made... Pioneer Woman Pinapple & Gilled Chicken Quesadillas.
We grilled the chicken & a fresh pineapple...
then piled it onto a tortilla with monterey jack cheese & a jalapeno
we served it with homemade salsa that I made with my food processor, which made it so easy.

My mom made Lemon-Blueberry Yogurt Loaf (and mini muffins)

You can't come to Arizona with-out a cookout or Braii as Doug would say...
We grilled hot dogs & fresh asparagus & mom made a pasta salad.
The meal was complete with s'mores!

The homemade "commuter sandwhich"
we bought the famous english muffins from LGO and we made our own egg sandwhich.
(there really is something magical about their english muffins... they are to die for!)

Mom also made Doug her fabulous granola and banana bread!

We either need to move closer and my mom needs to visit more :)
